My Day With Imogen

On Saturday October 25th I went and visited Imogen at Princess Margaret Hospital. With me I took a bag of presents and a big cuddly bear, aswell as some flowers for Fiona, Immies mum. It was so great to see her and sit down with her. We did the puzzle I got her and also did some crafting from the craft box I brought her. While we were doing this nurses often came in to check her breathing and heart beat etc. One nurse wanted to feel her tummy and Immie got quite upset about this and cried. After the nurse left we continued to craft while I spoke to Fiona about her progress. She informed me that this was the best Imogen had been in a long time and that her neurophilis had gone from a small 0.2 before the stem cells were put into her body, so a whopping 3.1 with those brilliant stem cells doing their job. I crafted with Imogen for about an hour and a half before she said she was tired, and then lay down to watch Tom and Jerry on her little tv. I sat and watched it with her, and she pointed to the tv telling me to watch what was going to happen next, and looking at me every so often to make sure I was still paying close attention. She made cute little sound effects and copied some of the things that were happening on the show. We sat and laughed at the silly cat and mouse together for another half hour or so, then it was time for me to go so Imogen could get some rest, as she wouldn’t while I was still there. I told her I’d come see her again soon then left her to get some sleep. Fiona told me some great news too, that they’re expecting to go home late next week if all goes to plan. So keep her in your prayers a little longer, as they seem to have worked so far And that was my wonderful day with little miss Imogen.
